Killing Faith
- World Premiere
- Q&A with filmmaker Ned Crowley and actors Jack Alcott and DeWanda Wise
ABOUT THE FILM:
In the plague-scarred deserts of the 1849 Arizona Territory, a freed woman clings to hope for her mysterious daughterâevery living thing the child touches perishes. Convinced the girl is possessed, she persuades a widowed physician, a man whose faith in both science and God has crumbled, to undertake a perilous journey across the West in search of a distant faith healer. Alongside a conflicted preacher, they venture into a land haunted by superstition and survival.
Ned Crowleyâs genre-bending supernatural Western submerges its characters in feverish landscapes and moral dread. Anchored by Guy Pearceâs weary skepticism, DeWanda Wiseâs desperate conviction, and Bill Pullmanâs haunted gravitas, KILLING FAITH is a chilling meditation on belief, fear, and the terrifying lengths one will go to save hopeâand innocence.
